Training in MS Excel
We deliver high quality classroom or online training from beginner level to advanced programming.
Excel Basic training
We offer this course to participants with very limited or no experience with the Microsoft Excel program.
We introduce the essence of how to work with Excel efficiently to reduce waste and unnecessary work.
During this course participants will receive a solid foundation on the principles of Excel and a thorough understanding of the basics required to further grow/improve their skills. This includes the structure of the program’s menus, its primary rules, worksheet operations, and ready-to-use, practical knowledge on references, charts, sorting, filtering and much more.
By completing this course, participants will learn how to handle big data tables efficiently and build basic summary tables on these; how to apply professional formatting to aid the understanding of the results. All-in-all, how to complete tasks in a more efficient way in higher quality.
Excel Intermediate training
We offer our Excel Intermediate courses to participants who are already using Microsoft Excel for solving simpler tasks, and would like to decrease waste in their processes.
During this course participants will receive an overall understanding of the principal logic behind Excel and how its functions are built up. They will learn how to build formulae and the basics of combining those together, how to create summary tables with built-in switches and effective ways to identify errors in data tables. They will also gain practical knowledge how to efficiently lookup data with functions, how to identify and correct items which do not show the right results, how dates and date functions work, how to format and build simple and meaningful charts, how to apply filtering and formats to support the straightforward understanding of the results.
The Pivot table is a great tool to create complex summary tables in seconds – we are providing opportunity to gain knowledge of this excellent tool in one of our optional modules. In another optional module we teach the basis of how to automate regular tasks using advances formulas.
Excel Professional level training
We offer the Excel Professional training for users who regularly use the program for solving more complex tasks and would like to take their skills to the next level. With completing our training, participants will be able to efficiently outsource repetitive tasks and processes to the computer.
Participants will learn how to automate regular tasks using formulas and how to create nested functions to model complex scenarios. We will teach creating built-in automated error detecting functions to reduce time on validating results. To enable creating complex summary tables in seconds will thoroughly discuss the Pivot table and charting options. With the in-depth discussion of the lookup functions we will give effective tools to our participants to compare tables and results. Supporting the meaningful presentation of the data we will share broad knowledge on conditional formatting and on creating charts.
To support fully automated processes we offer an optional macro module in the professional training. With this, our participants will get started on how macros work and will also be able to create their own macro code. In addition, we offer an optional module to support creating error-proofing forms for manual data gathering which significantly reduce the time spent on building a data table from the information collected from individuals.
Excel1 Macro and VBA programming training
We offer this training for users who has extensive knowledge in Microsoft Excel and would like to do automations beyond using functions and formulae.
During this training we introduce how to create macros and practice those with solving real life examples. We teach how to pull together information from different sources into one single data table in an automated way, how to split data from one table into multiple worksheets or workbooks with a single click, what it means to work with variables in macro codes, and how to amend the code already written in an effective way. We also introduce how to assign macros to certain application events, like opening or closing workbooks or even on clicking on a given cell. Combining Loops (for each, for next, do while, do until) and scenarios (if, else, elseif, select case) will help building useful tools to further automate the participants’ own processes.
A whole new world opens up after getting familiar with VBA. It can create more efficient and higher quality solutions to support business decisions and streamline processes.
